Sublimitas ChoirThe Massey High School Choir "Sublimitas" participates each year in the "Big Sing" competition at the Auckland Town Hall and regularly contributes to the Big Sing's Gala Concert. They have received commended certificates and won the Best Performance of a New Zealand Work (2011) for a performance of "Ave Lo'u Ola" by head boy Metitilani Alo. For three consecutive years, Sublimitas performed an original piece by one of the choir members at the Big Sing and have been one of the only choirs to ever do so. Sublimitas has performed with Dame Malvina Major in 2014, singing "Panis Angelicus" (Cesar Franck). They have performed as the guest choir with world famous rock act 'Paramore' at the Vector Arena in front of thousands of people. They have been the guest choir for concerts at the Parnell Cathedral, including for the choir of the Brigham Young University choir from Hawaii. They have performed at the Waitakere Business Awards finals and regularly sung for prizegivings, soirees and music tours of schools. In 2013 members of the choir toured Europe and performed in Salzburg as part of the Music Department Europe Trip. They are conducted by Mr. Robert Loretz.
